Again, thank you all for a most memorable vacation. Melissa, France Iceland Winter World, February 2016 Thank you so much for everything.

It was an amazing tour (my first but not my last). My consultant was very nice and helpful, trying always to arrange me in all situations. Anyway, it was probably my best holidays in my life. You can see all famous spots with the tour and have few stories about Iceland and the life in Iceland.

I think it is the best way to discover this beautiful country. I will come back on Summer. Nicola, United Kingdom Northern Lights Over Abisko, February 2016 We enjoyed all of the elements of our tour but in particular the safari by snowmobile tour which started at Nikkaluokta was fantastic and this was our highlight.

We weren't expecting to see as many Moose as we did, the food was delicious and the tour guide was very friendly. Kelly, United States Into the Wild, January 2016 Sirry was great to work with. I would book with Nordic Visitor again, very professional and courteous. We had no issues at all, everything went very smooth. Thank you for a great experience. Erin, United States Moonlight Safari, January 2016 I would absolutely stay nowhere else but Basecamp after being booked there.

The accommodations were FANTASTIC. One thing of note that I know is difficult to plan for is that some of the restaurant recommendations were unavailable because of the holiday vacation.

Kroa thankfully opened, but Huset did not open until the day I was leaving. It was absolutely not a problem, as the staff at Basecamp filled in the details. The recommendations in general were appreciated and I did get to finally eat at Kroa, which was delicious. Mamie, United States Northern Lights City Break, January 2016 From first contact, Nordic Visitor was responsive, friendly and helpful.

Everything was very well organized. I enjoyed having just the right amount of guided tours balanced with plenty of time to explore on my own. Mairi and Heather Northern Lights City Break, December 2015 We really liked just arriving and knowing that everything was organised for us, Nordic Visitor (Hilmar) does an excellent service.Current Windows 10 Mobile build For current Windows 10 Mobile builds, Windows Insider setup options have been migrated into Settings.

Bookended by the 1989 Tiananmen Square protests and the 2008 Beijing Olympics, the exhibition unfurls all the usual heavy hitters, including Ai Weiwei, Cao Fei, Chen Zhen, and Zhang Peili, while bringing context to bear with a display of archival materials and an accompanying three-hundred-page catalogue. What else can painting do. With wide-eyed curiosity, maverick humor, and infectious glee, Owens continues to pose this query, producing ambitious, technically rigorous, and surprising pieces unlike those of any other painter of her generation (or the next).

For this LA master, painting is large-scale installation, embroidered silk-screened textile, ticking timepiece, site-specific manifesto, private treasure hunt, and eye-popping, mind-bending, gut-busting karaoke house party. Travels to the Dallas Museum of Art, Mar. This exhibition promises to explore dimensions of Matta-Clark only touched on in previous retrospectives, homing in on his architectural projects of the 1970s.

The artist adopted the sobriquet anarchitect, with a bow to the art brut painter Jean Dubuffet and in explicit opposition to his professional education at Cornell. Taking the deadpan, saturation-enhanced look of the vernacular postcard as a point of departure, Shore has employed everything from plastic toy cameras to tripod-based view cameras to Instagram. All will be on display in MoMA's massive retrospective, which features more than seven hundred photographs, books (some of which are self-published), and archival materials and will be accompanied by an encyclopedic catalogue with contributions from the curators, David Campany, and Martino Stierli.

A full-color volume of scholarship accompanies the exhibition. Clubs have already been very busy in their recruitment drive and the bookmakers have reacted by updating their odds in the range of different markets they are offering on the new season.

If you are looking to have a flutter on the Premier League, here are the best bets which will hopefully help you turn a profit at the end of the campaign. Clearly, their biggest problem was with their goalkeeping position.

Claudio Bravo turned out to be a poor signing, while Joe Hart clearly was not a viable option for Pep Guardiola. The Brazilian should bring some stability between the sticks and reduce the number of errors they made last season. The acquisition of Bernardo Silva is also a big coup for City. His signature was sought by a whole host of leading European clubs. If they go on to add Alexis Sanchez and Kyle Walker, two players they have been heavily linked with, they are going to take some stopping next season.

Clearly, losing Romelu Lukaku is going to be a blow but it looks as though that money is going to be invested back into the team. The Toffees could surprise a lot of people next season with a push towards qualification into the Champions League but the safe bet is a top-six finish. Romelu Lukaku scored 25 goals last season for Everton and it looks as though the Belgium international is heading back to Chelsea.

Dustin Johnson, the world No1 who pulled out of the Masters in dramatic fashion earlier this year, will start as favourite to retain the title he won at Oakmont last year, his first ever major title. So who could stop him becoming the first man to defend the US Open title since Curtis Strange in 1988 and win you some money.

After finishing third at the Quicken Loans National on his professional debut last year, he then went on to finish second at the RBC Canadian Open and earned his PGA card for 2017. He now has his first title - the Farmers Insurance Open in January - and secured a top-30 finish in his first ever Masters earlier this year. The 22-year-old appears to have been completely unfazed by the big stage and was the leading amateur at this event last year.

Phil Mickelson believes he "doesn't have weaknesses - every part of his game is a strength" but perhaps the greatest of those is Rahm's driving. David Riedy Classic Scotland, August 2017 Kathleen Rospos, United States Romance Around Iceland, August 2017 Overall, our experience with Nordic Visitor was fantastic. The null hypothesis, H0, asserts that the defendant is innocent, whereas the alternative hypothesis, H1, asserts that the defendant is guilty.

The indictment comes because of suspicion of the guilt. The H0 (status quo) stands in opposition to H1 and is maintained unless H1 is supported by evidence "beyond a reasonable doubt". However, "failure to reject H0" in this case does not imply innocence, but merely that the evidence was insufficient to convict. So the jury does not necessarily accept H0 but fails to reject H0.

While one can not "prove" a null hypothesis, one can test how close it is to being true with a power test, which tests for type II errors. What statisticians call an alternative hypothesis is simply a hypothesis that contradicts the null hypothesis. Working from a null hypothesis, two basic forms of error are recognized:Standard deviation refers to the extent to which individual observations in a sample differ from a central value, such as the sample or population mean, while Standard error refers to an estimate of difference between sample mean and population mean.

A statistical error is the amount by which an observation differs from its expected value, a residual is the amount an observation differs from the value the estimator of the expected value assumes on a given sample (also called prediction).

Mean squared error is used for obtaining efficient estimators, a widely used class of estimators. Root mean square error is simply the square root of mean squared error. Many statistical methods seek to minimize the residual sum of squares, and these are called "methods of least squares" in contrast to Least absolute deviations. The latter gives equal weight to small and big errors, while the former gives more weight to large errors.

Residual sum of squares is also differentiable, which provides a handy property for doing regression. Least squares applied to linear regression is called ordinary least squares method and least squares applied to nonlinear regression is called non-linear least squares. Also in a linear regression model the non deterministic part of the model is called error term, disturbance or more simply noise. Measurement processes that generate statistical data are also subject to error.

Any estimates obtained from the sample only approximate the population value. Confidence intervals allow statisticians to express how closely the sample estimate matches the true value in the whole population. From the frequentist perspective, such a claim does not even make sense, as the true value is not a random variable.

Either the true value is or is not within the given interval. One approach that does yield an interval that can be interpreted as having a given probability of containing the true value is to use a credible interval from Bayesian statistics: this approach depends on a different way of interpreting what is meant by "probability", that is as a Bayesian probability.

In principle confidence intervals can be symmetrical or asymmetrical. An interval can be asymmetrical because it works as lower or upper bound for a parameter (left-sided interval or right sided interval), but it can also be asymmetrical because the two sided interval is built violating symmetry around the estimate. Sometimes the bounds for a confidence interval are reached asymptotically and these are used to approximate the true bounds. Interpretation often comes down to the level of statistical significance applied to the numbers and often refers to the probability of a value accurately rejecting the null hypothesis (sometimes referred to as the p-value).

A critical region is the set of values of the estimator that leads to refuting the null hypothesis. The probability of type I error is therefore the probability that the estimator belongs to the critical region given that null hypothesis is true (statistical significance) and the probability of type II error is the probability that the estimator doesn't belong to the critical region given that the alternative hypothesis is true.

The statistical power of a test is the probability that it correctly rejects the null hypothesis when the null hypothesis is false. Referring to statistical significance does not necessarily mean that the overall result is significant in real world terms.

For example, in a large study of a drug it may be shown that the drug has a statistically significant but very small beneficial effect, such that the drug is unlikely to help the patient noticeably. While in principle the acceptable level of statistical significance may be subject to debate, the p-value is the smallest significance level that allows the test to reject the null hypothesis. This is logically equivalent to saying that the p-value is the probability, assuming the null hypothesis is true, of observing a result at least as extreme as the test statistic.

Therefore, the smaller the p-value, the lower the probability of committing type I error. Some problems are usually associated with this framework (See criticism of hypothesis testing):Some well-known statistical tests and procedures are:Misuse of statistics can produce subtle, but serious errors in description and interpretationsubtle in the sense that even experienced professionals make such errors, and serious in the sense that they can lead to devastating decision errors.

For instance, social policy, medical practice, and the reliability of structures like bridges all rely on the proper use of statistics.
