I can even see my plane in spot view, and when I am in cockpit view it is looking as if I am under the ground. Even the yellow progressive taxi markings are above my windshield. IT looks like the altitude elevation of this scenery is different than that of P3D elevation, and the new elevation is not being recognized by p3d. If I disable the CYTZ scenery in the librarythen the proper elevation is restored, and my plane sits correctly on the ground.

But of course I loose all the good scenery that the CYTZ package has do offer, with it being disabled. However taxing, landing and seeing the various buildings 20feet below ground is not an option.

Please fix. Could you provide a screenshot, one of your aircraft in cockpit view, and one with your aircraft on approach? It hasn't been tested for v3 yet. However, I might be able to provide a fix if I can see the problem. Thanks for your offer to help FAS. I ended up getting it working on my own.Advanced Search. If this is your first visit, welcome!

Thread: Airport Elevation Problem. Thread Tools Show Printable Version. Captain Sam. The Mesh has seemed to mess with my airport elevations.

Look at this airport: How can i fix this glitch? BTW, this glitch is at most, but not all airports. Thanks for the help. Posts 1, Blog Entries 2. You can fix the ones that are important to you by editing the airport elevation with a product like the free Airport Design Editor you will have to have the SDK properly installed in order to re-compile the changed airports. If you are willing to spend the money for FSGlobal terrain mesh instead, you will get a 'tool' that blends the airport elevation into the adjusted nearby terrain.

Which route you take is up to you. I tend to adjust the airports where it matters if I otherwise like the appearance of the terrain mesh in the area. Hooked since FS I have the Fsgeneis terrain mesh, but i dont see any options to blend the airport elevation.

Is there a way to fix those airports to correct elevation? I'm also not using any payware airports. The problem is we have flat airports in the simulation but not in real world.

SeaTac is a good example because like many others the ground around the airport is sloping so it is inevitable that you will end up with a rise at one side and a fall on the other for example. There is a significant slope around this airport, but the airport itself should be flat so i don't know what you're running into. Since you mentioned Vector, be sure to run the airport elevation correction tool, although I do not think it is a problem in this case.

You can adjust airport elevations with Airport Design Editor, but I think you have to get the Prokey version. Dan is on to something Additionally, it is pretty standard to have Crash Detection turned off in FSX and P3D to avoid unseen issues and mesh issues and unseen objects that sometimes come with addon scenery. Something else which may work in your case it works with some scenery is to adjust your mesh. The mesh setting for the airport should be listed in the documentation for the airport.

I'm assuming you ran the Automatic tool? If so, you might check the list of disabled airports to see if KSEA is actually in the list. If not, try adding it manually. Thank you for all the suggestions. You need to be a member in order to leave a comment. Sign up for a new account in our community.

My question was more to do with current status of those airports already corrected by the AEC tool, and if those corrections might somehow be affected by installing and running the new Orbx Central. If not, I will proceed to install OC.

From Jack's post it appears that the AEC tool might be working correctly, so that's good news, in case any new airports need correction. Thanks, Nick. I had no plans to migrate the files, nor running the AEC tool. I'm aware of your advice regarding using a symbolic link, but my setup is much simpler than yours--I have only one simulator installed, P3D, and have no plans to install X-Plane, at least in the near future.

I would wait a little while yet. By all means try Orbx Central but my advice is the same as the developers', there is no need to migrate or update anything at all. Posted August 17, edited. Adding the scenario with the new xml method or by the old method added directly by the scenery library is the same thing Any ideas?

PS: solved. It was that "dummy" object that was not installed in the right folder. Can you solve the link issue? Please elaborate on the proper placement of the "dummy object.

It is working fine now. What else should I do please? Thanks for any help. Last edited by jean-claude on Fri Jan 26, am, edited 1 time in total. I use UTLive for traffic. I have also been installing several of the ORBX products. I also have tried to u-install and re-install Amsterdam but I end up with the same problem.

Any help or advise please.Welcome, Guest. Please login or register. News: Everything back in working order now. Check out our Black Friday offerings next week!!! The problem is that the runway is either floating above the surface or sunk down into it. I also have OrbX Vector and the surrounding scenery areas. I've tried running the Vector configurator and only 2 of the airports, FE andKW, show up in it anyway. I tried with airport elvation correction on and off and it made no difference.

I've moved the 2 TGF sceneries to the top of the list in the scenery library, told FTX central to put OrbX entries below them but that has not cured it either. I would like to sort this out before i try installing the RTMM sceneries for the area.

Any other suggestions would be much appreciated. Dieter Newbie Posts: Hi Dieter, thanks for your reply. I did see the one from Holger Sandmann re the terrain. I had to use this to remove the "no water only trees" effect when I first installed the product. I did not realise that the TF scenery had to be below the OrbX stuff but unfortunately moving it did not solve the problem.

I used the Estonia migration tool for the install so all the files appear to be in the correct place and i do see the scenery- it's just it has these annoying elevation problems.

I'll have to see if I can find them elsewhere. Quote from: den on April 25,PM. Quinteros Newbie Posts: 1. Sadly that didn't do the trick for me. In fact, after I did that I noticed even more problems. Luckily, I backed everything up prior to this. Any other suggestions on how to fix the airport elevation issues? SMF 2. Den Well, that was easier than I expected! I found the files had been installed to my FSX Steam installation on the same drive as P3Dso I copied them accross and noe everything is as it should be.

Thanks again for your help.I have a big island right in the middle covering the airport. There must be a conflict with another external file this can be FSGlobal mesh or else. First, make sure that LICJ scenery is above any mesh or vector addons on the scenery library to make sure, move LICJ at the top of the scenery library. If you still get the mesh issue, could you please try the enclosed.
